California is suffering from a housing shortage of epic proportions, in part, because cities illegally impede the creation of new housing.
Our mission at YIMBY Law is:
to enforce existing state housing laws
to educate lawmakers and activists about state housing law, and
to facilitate community organizing for individual housing projects which are general plan compliant and which don’t displace existing renters.

We are excited to announce that we recently won our lawsuit against Simi Valley, clearly establishing that group housing is housing for the purpose of the Housing Accountability Act.
